The Academy has a lot to talk about as we get into the full flow of 2017. We are running four full public Diplomas in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management through out the year, and we are also working with the AECB to integrate the Diploma with the Advanced level e-learning course: CarbonLite Retrofit. Our own taught advanced courses are also taking place in London and Manchester, starting in May 2017.
Read below for news about whet we’re up to, and how you can get involved.
- The Academy is delighted to have awarded full Retrofit Coordinator scholarships to Alice Leung and Marie Jones for our upcoming London courses. Several half scholarships were also awarded.
- Congratulations to our 13 new Retrofit Coordinator graduates last autumn – see theRetrofit Coordinator Register for full details of our graduates.
- A new Retrofit Coordinator Scholarship is open for our Spring programme in London. To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter explaining why you would be a deserving recipient to firstname.lastname@example.org. Scholarships are awarded to those unable to cover the course fees themselves, and who demonstrate a commitment to and passion for delivering better retrofit projects.
- The deadline for abstract submissions to The International Refurbishment Symposium has been extended until midnight on Friday 17th February 2017. Abstracts are welcome from industry and academia.

New e-learning Gateway to Become an Advanced Retrofit Coordinator
We are now collaborating with the Association for Environment Conscious Building (AECB) to align their excellent advanced level retrofit e-learning programme ‘CarbonLite Retrofit (CLR)’, and our intermediate level Retrofit Coordinator Diploma.
The 130-hour CLR course now offers existing Retrofit Coordinators a gateway to become an ‘Advanced Retrofit Coordinator’.
The Academy will be providing in house courses for companies and organisations at competitive rates. We are already working with a number of leading housing associations, architects, contractors and systems designers to develop their organisational understanding of retrofit best practice. If you would be interested in bringing expert retrofit training to your workplace, simply give the team a call or drop us an email.
